Creating an account and browsing the platform is free for both investors and startups. We charge a small carry fee on successful SPV investments and a flat fee for background check services. There are no subscription fees or listing costs.

We focus on early-stage funding: idea stage, pre-seed, and seed rounds. Some startups raising a Series A also use our platform when they're looking for angel co-investors. Our sweet spot is seed rounds between $100K and $2M.

A Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) is a legal entity created solely to make a single investment. Multiple investors pool their capital into the SPV, which then invests in the startup as a single entity. This means the startup only has one entry on their cap table, while each investor in the SPV maintains their proportional ownership and rights.

The minimum ticket size depends on the SPV lead investor's terms, but typically starts at $1,000. This makes it possible for newer angels to diversify across multiple deals rather than putting all their capital into a single startup.

Our matching algorithm considers multiple factors: sector alignment (does the startup match your investment thesis?), stage preference, check size compatibility, geographic overlap, and historical patterns. The more complete your profile, the better your matches will be.

Requirements vary by jurisdiction. In the US, SPV investments typically require accredited investor status. In the EU and other regions, different rules apply. We verify investor eligibility during the onboarding process and can help clarify the requirements for your specific situation.

Sign up for a free startup account, complete your profile with your company details, team information, and funding ask, then optionally link your pitch deck. Once your profile is complete, you'll automatically start appearing in investor matches. Getting verified by completing a background check significantly increases your visibility.

No. That's one of the main benefits of SPVs. Even if 20 angels invest through an SPV, it shows up as a single entry on your cap table. You deal with one entity, not 20 individual investors. This keeps your cap table clean for future rounds.

Our background checks verify identity, professional credentials (LinkedIn, previous companies), public records, and business registrations. The process is non-invasive and designed to build trust. Verified founders receive a badge on their profile and typically receive 3x more investor interest.

Platform access is free. For SPV investments, we charge a 2% management fee and 20% carried interest on returns (standard industry terms). Background checks are a flat $49 per check. There are no success fees, finder's fees, or hidden costs for startups.
